NWCL wins the NWCup'08, posting wins over SCA, CCL, NCCA and BACA on consecutive days. NWCL Captain, Vijay Beniwal won the MVP of the tournament and Sandeep Parab won the best wicket-keeper award. Other award winners are - Arjun Thyagarajan of NCCA (Best Batsman), Bilal Khan of BACA (Best Bowler), Nirosh DeSilva of NCCA (Best Fielder).

"First of all Congratulations to NWCL - Seattle league for winning the inter league tournament by winning all four of their games. Playing 50 over game every day for four days in a raw is by no means an easy task and NWCL team won admiration and praise from all here in North California.

Every other league also played competitive cricket and made the tournament interesting for players.

I want to thank all the host league presidents for sponsoring atleast two games and umpiring few games. Our goal was to make sure every league feels part of the regional family and I am proud to say that everyone stepped up fulfilled their commitment. Thanks again." 

Western Conference Regional Board is pleased to announce the dates for NW Cup '08. This annual competition among the leagues that comprise of erstwhile NW region (BACA, CCL, NCCA, NWCL), will have a new entrant in Sacramento Cricket Association (SCA). NW Cup'08 will be played over 2 weekends - March 29-30 and April 3-6.

Each year the participating league teams compete for the bragging rights of being the best team in the region. In addition, with USACA announcing the dates for the regional and national tournaments, a strong performance in NW Cup'08 is seen as a ticket to the NW regional squad. Though NCCA has won the tournament, with NWCL finishing second the past 3 years, all the games are expected to be hard fought and no team can afford to take it easy.
