Q: What are regional guidelines?
A: For smooth administration of cricket in the country, USA Cricket Association (USACA) has formed various regions. Each region has its own regional administration. The regional administration is in complete charge of the regional cricket.
Even though the USACA constitution defines the structure of regional administration along with how it is formed, what are its rights, etc., it does not provide any specific guidelines for the internal functioning within the region like how the selectors, coaches, etc. for various categories of teams should be appointed, how many in each category should be appointed, how long will they serve in such capacity, etc.
The West Coast region, under the guidance of Raj Padhi & Hemant Buch lead the way in developing a set of regional guidelines which will address all such issues that are not clearly defined in the USACA constitution. They hope that other regions around the country will adopt the same or something similar.
